TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PEOPLE’S CHOICE WINE AWARDS
AND PEOPLE’S CHOICE SPIRITS AWARDS
An Entrant can submit wines and spirits for the Awards by completing an Entry Form, paying the Entry Fee and delivering the Entry bottles/packs to People’s Choice Enterprises Ltd (via Sensible Wine Services) otherwise known as the Organisers of the People’s Choice Wine Awards and People’s Choice Spirits Awards.
Entries that do not arrive by the entry deadline cannot be refunded or credited.
The Organisers accept no responsibility for Entry Forms unsuccessfully submitted.
Three (3) samples of each wine (min 75 cl each or equivalent) or one (1) sample of each spirit (min
70cl or equivalent) entered must be submitted to the delivery address advised by the People’s Choice Wine Awards and People’s Choice Spirits Awards and must be sent in sealed boxes, not in open crates or carrier bags.
Where the same Entry is submitted by more than one Entrant, each of the Entrants’ stockists’ details will be featured equally in the report of the tasting. Entry Fees for multiple entries will not be refunded.
If there are insufficient Entries in a particular category and/or a submission is mis-matched with a category, the Entries will be judged in the most appropriate category, as decided by PCDA.
The judges’ decision is final.
An Entry will not be included in the Competition where the Entry Fee has not been received by the Organisers by the deadline.
The Organisers will not be held liable for any lost or damaged wines and spirits and no refund of Entry Fee will be given under any circumstances.
Wines submitted must:
• Be made exclusively from partial or complete alcoholic fermentation of fresh grapes
• Be in a 75cl bottle, with the exception of sweet and fortified wines, which may be contained in 25cl, 37.5cl, or 50cl bottles or in the case of bag in box wines, which may be contained in 1l, 2.25l, 3l or 5l boxes. Canned wines or those produced in alternative packaging can be submitted in multiples to the equivalent of 3 x 75cl, shown above.
• Be labelled in accordance with EU legislation in force at the time of entry.
• Entries may be produced in one country and then bottled in another.
Spirits submitted must have a minimum alcoholic strength by volume of 18%, except in the case of no/low alcohol categories.
NB: We require 6 x 25cl cans for the canned cocktail category, to cover all judging requirements.

The People’s Choice Wine Awards and People’s Choice Spirits Awards marks and logos are the property of People’s Choice Enterprises Ltd. Any unauthorised use, reproduction or alteration is strictly prohibited.
Winning Entrants may only use the authorised People’s Choice Wine Awards, Spirits Awards or Drinks Awards logos, medal stickers or artwork as instructed by the Organisers and may not be used on bottles or packaging without prior written authorisation.
Medals may only be displayed against, and Bottle Neck Sleeves may only be affixed to, winning entries of the appropriate Award and category of the competition and can only be applied to the vintage entered. In the case of a Non-Vintage entry, the medal is valid for 2 years from the date of the Awards ceremony.

If the vintage changes, during the winning year only, the stockist link can be updated with the new vintage, subject to notification on the page, that this is the case (i.e., that the winning vintage itself, is no longer available).
No change can be made to the name and details of any Entries once the judging has commenced.
The Organisers reserve the right to use Entrants’ logos and Entry information to promote the People’s Choice Wine Awards and People’s Choice Spirits Awards via press releases, social media and online promotion.
We are happy to post out the winning limited edition framed cartoon, for those suppliers not able to make the ceremony, however, delivery outside of Europe will incur additional charges and each supplier will be notified accordingly.
POSTPONEMENT
In the unlikely event that the judging is postponed, for whatever reason, we will move the judging sessions to a future date, in alignment with the relevant Awards year (i.e. 2024). In this instance, your entry fee will not be refunded, but you are welcome to send updated vintages/samples as appropriate.
CANCELLATION
The Organisers reserve the right to cancel either competition, giving 30 days notice in advance, without refund of entry fees. If the cancellation is due to a national pandemic or similar circumstances, a full refund of fees will be provided.
